Using stage blood

Grimas stage blood comes in 3 types:

Film blood behaves like the real thing.  It flows when wet and dries realistically. It is available in two colours.  Blood A is bright red like oxygenated blood from an artery.  Blood B is darker and represents blood from a vein.
You can use instant coffee granules to darken film blood.

Blood syrup is used where you want the blood to stay looking fresh.  It dries with a shiny finish.

Blood paste is a thick paste which is excellent for older wounds.  It stays in place and is therefore less likely to drip on clothing etc.

Stain removal

ALL stage blood will stain clothing and often leave a faint yellow mark on pale skin.  This is normal.  There is no such product as non-staining blood.

Do not try to remove skin stains by rubbing.  Use makeup remover liquid to gently lift the colour out.

Some stains in clothing can be treated by pre-soaking the fabric in Biotex or similar.  This needs to be done before the blood dries.
